Hey Guys !

Soooooo... I am almost done ! ! ! ! All it needs is Clear Coat, Weight, and a tune... ready to rock after that !

This car didn't go to Utah this week because I have to race it at work on Thursday. I will be entering this one into the Best Design Contest at Goodyear to help raise money for the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts in my area.

Next month though... Look out ! He has Showstopper written all over him !

I just wanted to say, "Thank You ! ! ! !". It is huge that people donate money to help out organizations like the United Way and Boy Scouts, even outside of their area.

He isn't fast as the Street Stock cars that I helped people build, but he looks sooooooo good.... which was his whole purpose !

Donations from outside of work are at $120 so far... and the voting there starts at 9:00 am tomorrow... You guys rock ! ! ! !

So.... Yesterday was a blast with the "Out of the Box" Derby at work !

We had 33 cars enter the competition. One of them was a carrot ! ! ! ! The people making the car used a solid axle and a carrot as a body. It was pretty slick !

My Vader car took the best design. We raised $363 in votes for the car. Overall, we took in more than $2,200 for the event for United Way. It really was fun putting this race on. We had one of the scout leaders get a little rambunctious with the starting gate and ripped the reset wires off the switch. Not cool... but we were able to overcome that. After we retrained him on how to operate the switch and gate, thing were better... until the NERD class came up.. then he was kinda scared... The video is attached too... this car made it down the track in 1.2 seconds... super slick ! ! !
