My son and I have been following the league race results but holding off on joining the Ice Series as my Scout had his DC race in late May. I had to box up my boy's car and ship it in to Greg within hours of finishing the DC race to be sure of making the MA deadline. He raced against you guys but left a bit on the track just due to the turn-around time and the restrictive DC rules.
I saw a bunch of names in Scout Graphite at MA I that I recognized as being part of the NPDRL Scout Class yesterday (Speed Miller, Wrightstuff, Raptor Racing). Congrats to all your kids!
It was a blast watching and having conversations like "Uh Oh, Grogu's in the next lane - He's gonna be tough to even get close to!" (spoiler: the boy got beat by a car length) and "Ooooh! Unspeakable 2 is running against T-Rex! Who's gonna win?". In the end, my boy's car ran about .05 slower than it did in the DC races, but turned in a respectable 16th overall with a 2.9933 average.
We'll be sending in "Fastball" to the Fire series... with lighter weight wheels and a tiny bit heavier than the 141 grams it ran yesterday... which brings me back to the question:
Does Mid-America count as a league race?
