Got bit by the bug after building a car for a local Brewery race called the Pintwood Derby...Ha...see what they did there?
So after doing some research I found the NPWDRL. Im currently building a Box Stock and a BASX. Im sure Im making every mistake in the book, but Im having a blast geeking out on these cars.

First question is if you build a ladder car forBOX STOCK and BASX can you use plastic to cover the holes?

Also am I able to race the Nov. 5th event or is it to late in the season to jump in? I know as far as season points go Im screwed, but I was going to use more as a practice for the 2017 season. So with that being said has the 2017 schedule been announced yet?

Thanks for any help you guys can send my way. And thank you Bulldog Racing for the videos...they have been a huge help.

Hey Chuck !

It is never too late to jump in ! Build your toys and send them in... if you are done by Tuesday, you can probably even get them to Utah in time for the race Saturday !

Okay... you can cover the cars with whatever you want... but plastic is actually more dense than wood... so it is heavier. Some people just leave the ladder uncovered, except for the vinyl or printed cover. just letting you know.

Like the others said, cover the ladder with a vinyl top and tape bottom. You don't want any hole uncovered. I get adhesive backed monokote trim sheets from a local hobby shop.
