Introducing Turbo Jig!
Using an extremely detailed 3D model of a Pinewood Derby Car, the optimal location for the axle holes (front and rear), offset of the side of the body, and bend of the steering axle were determined to a high level of precision! These precise measurements have been integrated into the Turbo Jig!
Turbo Jig basic features:
• Addresses all three critical alignment areas on a Pinewood Derby car: rear wheels, front to back and side to side
• 1.095” hardened tool steel drill bushings
• Built-in gauge for determining proper axle bend
• Option for adjustable bushings (see optional feature below)
Four different versions of Turbo Jig:
Turbo Jig – standard size with four drill bushings
Turbo Jig Hybrid – standard size with additional 5th bushing used to drill the steer into the car
Turbo Jig XL – Four drill bushings and a larger size allows all four axle holes to be drilled without removing the body from the jig. Plus, has two additional features used to measure/verify front to back and side to side alignment
Turbo Jig XL Hybrid – Additional 5th bushing used to drill steer into the car, larger size allows all four axle holes (does not apply to 5th bushing) to be drilled without removing the body from the jig. Plus has two additional features used to measure/verify front to back and side to side alignment
Optional feature:
The rear bushings on the standard Turbo Jig and the front and rear bushings on the Turbo Jig XL are adjustable. During normal production these adjustments are used to dial in the alignment of the bushings and then glued in place. However, if desired the buyer can choose not to have adhesive applied to the bushings allowing them to tweak alignment as desired.
PRICING:
Turbo Jig = $85
Turbo Jig Hybrid = $95
Turbo Jig XL = $115
Turbo Jig XL Hybrid = $125
