I'm going to post up a few pictures of items I have already made, if you have an idea for a product you'd like you can always shoot me a message to discuss. I'm not limited to PWD products as you'll see. If there's room, it's pretty easy to customize the model with your race name, I've done a few logos but they take a lot more work if you don't already have an .svg of your logo. My printer currently only supports multi-color prints by layer (so the color change leaves a band around the outside) but it's a nice effect on some models. Everything I make is printed to order so I can use a variety of colors that I have in stock. All prices are plus shipping.
So, first up, the item that started it all- The oil bottle holder $6 ea.-
This fits every 1 dram bottle I have tried so far, some needed the paper label peeled off to fit, one needed a single wrap of tape to fit snug. Reduces the risk of tipping and spilling!
I modeled a few car stands, cooler than a wood stick!
The original ($7 ea.), can be used either side up. If you hang the car off one end it can be used to measure your COM, not that anyone here admits to actually measuring their COM! LOL But you can demonstrate to the scout racers where a fast car will balance.
This one (Deluxe $15 ea., no extra charge for a text name added) doubles as a way to check cars for length if you want the tabs on the ends, or I can make it without the tabs as well. These are wider so they have more room for your race name-
If you look close you can see the thin yellow band around the outside from the color change.
The original Soap Dish Holder ($4 ea) keeps your cue ball or ball bearing where you need it-
One of my more popular items- the Axle Holder with dust cover $19 ea or $15 ea without the cover. I can make these with .091" or .084" axle holes or a mix if you need.
I have been asked if it's ok to spray Jig on these, I tried it and Jig melts this plastic also. I would advise not to do that!
I have tried to add text to these but unless your race name fits around the axle holes with no overlap it's best to leave the name off. I've made a few with the race name attached on top of the dust cover though, that works out nice!
I made a couple Big Rigs to race at Mid America last year. I had just built the printer at the time and I made all the little trim for the rigs including a scaled down fifth wheel hitch.
To get you started on other ideas, here's a mount I made for my lathe bench. I needed to mount a task light but the tool box didn't have anywhere to put it. I modeled a spacer for the handle on the box and then added a large raised tab for the light's clamp. The magnifier that fits on the back tab didn't need to be raised so I left it flat.
My wife has neuropathy from the cancer drugs, she doesn't have a good sense of touch and she has difficulty holding on to things. She was having trouble painting her nails so I printed larger, hourglass shaped handles with some texture that I glued to the nail polish bottle cap. She can grip these easier.
This one is just in the early prototype stage right now. I'll be making a couple tweaks before it's ready to sell. I expect it will be around $70 ea. ($85 ea, see the post below)(SEE 02/06/20 POST IN THIS THREAD FOR PICTURE OF CURRENT MODEL) including the indicator and pin gages. Looking to source a wide flat tip also. I'll post more info when it's ready. Should be good for sorting Box Stock wheels or for scout racing if you're not allowed to run turned wheels. Takes a common AGD 2 size indicator.
I did incorporate a way to check the tread edge too.
I also keyed in the upright so it fits nice and tight.
Had a request for a wider version of the Scale Stand, I thought it was a good idea and I decided to add them to the catalog, these are 41mm wide (1 5/8"). Also available with or without the end tabs and with or without the team name. $21 each.
That's all for now! Just shoot me a message if you have any questions!
