Hey NPWDRL Racers!!

For the rest of the Fire Series and at the Man of the Mountain World Finals in December we will run a MID AMERICA class along with the other special classes. So each month there will be three special classes to race!!

Also, as an added incentive to race in the special classes, Derby Evolution will be handing out a 50% entry fee gift certificate in each special class, each month! So for example if there are 10 cars in Governor next month then the winner gets a $50 gift certificate to Derby Evolution!

The intent of this class is to duplicate the rules at the Mid-America Derby. The only exception is that the tread marks are NOT required, which is a new rule that will be added at the Mid America next year. If you notice something in the rules that I just posted that does not go along with the Mid America rules please let me know.... it was not on purpose, but an oversight.

Rather than another new class maybe the rules should be looked at in the low participation classes to see why and then adjust them.

I haven’t raced any of the wide wheel classes in over 2 seasons where fenders are used. I’m not good at shaping fenders, and the builds are more technical then I want to build. Others may have that same problem, so that could be a reason why there are not many cars in SP, Pure Stock, or Mini.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I like the looks of this class and will race in this class for sure, but maybe awhile before I get a car ready. I’ll try to have one ready for December hopefully.

WOW, This is every interesting. We offer more incentive to race the special classes, add a special class because desire for it from racers. The Special classes don't have any weight on MOTM standing. It has NO effect on any racer that chooses not to race it, or any of the classes. Race the classes you want, be happy and enjoy yourselves. If you don't want the special class incentive, let me know and will pass it to the next racer in line.
