2018 NPWDRL Schedule
Box Stock, BASX Am, BASX Pro, Street Stock, Street Pro,
Eliminator, Unlimited & Fat Wheels Unlimited
will be run every month except April (off month).
Special Classes Street Rod & Governor will be run in January,
March, June, July, September, November and at the
MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN WORLD FINALS in December.
Special Classes BASX Mini & Pure Stock will be run in February,
May, June, August, October, November and at the
MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN WORLD FINALS in December.
New Special Class Mid America will be run in September,
October, November and at the MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN
WORLD FINALS in December.
New Special Class Mid America will be run in September,
October, November and at the MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN
WORLD FINALS in December.
Both the ICE and FIRE Series are MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN
WORLD FINALS Qualifier Series. (See the information below
regarding qualifying for the MOTM WORLD FINALS).
ICE & FIRE SERIES MONTHLY FORMAT INFORMATION
The standard monthly race format will consist of a PRELIMINARY
and a FINALS round. The PRELIMINARY round will be all cars grouped
together in each class to run total of four passes down the track,
once in each lane. The top 20% of builders will move onto the FINALS
round for an additional four passes down the track, once in each
lane. If a class has less than 10 cars there will not be a FINALS round.
ICE SERIES POINTS and QUALIFYING INFORMATION
Qualified races will be ran in the 6 MOTM Classes; BASX Pro,
Street Stock, Street Pro, Eliminator, Unlimited & Fat Wheels Unlimited.
Non-Qualified races will be ran in Box Stock, BASX Am, Street Rod,
Governor, BASX Mini & Pure Stock.
Everybody is invited to race in the NON-QUALIFIED race classes!
No need to QUALIFY or race during the season in the NON-QUALIFIED
classes to race at the ICE SERIES FINALS
Non-Qualified races will follow the standard monthly race format
including a PRELIMINARY and FINALS race in each class
To QUALIFY to race in one of the six MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN
classes in the ICE series FINAL race you must earn at least one point
in that class during the respective series. The Six MAN OF THE
MOUNTAIN classes are BASX Pro, Street Stock, Street Pro,
Eliminator, Unlimited and Fat Wheels Unlimited.
Points for the ICE Series qualifying will be accumulated
January through May.
Point Structure for each race in ICE Series: 1st-100, 2nd-90,
3rd-85, 4th-82, 5th-80, 6th-79 and so on down to 1 point.
BASX AM & PRO points will be ran together and the Point
Structure will be as follows: The Pro class will be given points
first: 1st-100, 2nd-90, 3rd-85, 4th-82, 5th-80, 6th-79
and so on in 1 point increments down to the last BASX
PRO Racer, then the 1st place BASX AM racer will earn
the next points after the last BASX PRO racer and the
rest of the BASX AM racers will earn points, in 1 point
increments, down to the last BASX AM racer.
Points winners (after May race) in each of the 6 MOTM classes
in the ICE Series earn an automatic bid into the final round in
the respective ICE SERIES FINAL in that class.
The Top 50% (in points) in each of the 6 MOTM classes in the ICE
series will qualify for the SEMIFINAL round in the respective
series FINAL in that class.
All other Racers with at least 1 point in each of the 6 MOTM
classes in the ICE Series will qualify for the QUARTER FINAL
round in the respective series FINAL in that class.
Missed a race? No Problem! Before we determine class winners
and placements for the ICE Series FINALS we will drop
your lowest score from each series.
ICE SERIES FINALS RACE STRUCTURE
The single winning car from the QUARTER FINAL round will move
into the SEMIFINAL round.
The top 4 fastest builders from the SEMIFINAL round will
move into the FINALS. This will include any cars from the
top 3 builders that are faster than the 4th place car.
The FINALS will consist of the top 4 SEMIFINAL builders
and the Ice Series points winners cars for a total of
5 builders in the FINAL.
The finals winner will earn an automatic bid into the FINAL round
in the MAN OF TRHE MOUNTAIN WORLD FINALS in DECEMBER
Points will be awarded to all ICE FINALS participants as though it
it were a normal monthly race for purposes of qualifying for the
MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN WORLD FINALS in DECEMBER
FIRE SERIES POINTS INFORMATION

The FIRE Series is a “POINTS” only series that will be raced for
five consecutive months. You will earn points in each of the Six
MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN classes that you race in each month. The Six
MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN classes are BASX Pro, Street Stock,
Street Pro, Eliminator, Unlimited and Fat Wheels Unlimited.
Points for the FIRE Series will be accumulated July
through November.

QUALIFIED AND NON-QUALIFIED RACES AT THE MAN OF
THE MOUNTAIN WORLD FINALS
Qualified races will be ran in the 6 MOTM Classes; BASX Pro,

Non-Qualified races will be ran in Box Stock, BASX Am, Street Rod,
Governor, BASX Mini & Pure Stock.

are a total of ALL the points earned in BOTH the ICE & FIRE Series
monthly races in 2018. This includes points from races in January,
February, March, May, June, July, August, September, October & November.
Missed a race? No Problem! When we add up all the points
from the ICE & FIRE Series we will drop your lowest
score from each series.
Additional factors taken into account when qualifying for the MAN OF THE
MOUNTAIN WORLD FINALS are monthly winners, the ICE FINALS
CHAMPIONS (race not points) & the FIRE SERIES champions (points not race).
The following MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN WORLD FINALS round
information is true for all Qualified classes: BASX Pro, Street Stock,
Street Pro, Eliminator, Unlimited & Fat Wheels Unlimited.
RACE IN ROUND
Builders with less than 50% (in total points), but at least 1 point qualify
for the RACE IN round. Only the winning car from the RACE IN
round moves onto the QUARTER FINALS
QUARTER FINALS ROUND
All builders in the top 50% (in total points) and the winner from the
RACE IN round qualify for the QUARTER FINALS. Four builders from
the QUARTER FINAL round move onto the SEMIFINALS. This will
include any cars from the top 3 builders that are faster than the
4th place car.
SEMIFINALS ROUND
All monthly race winners that are also in the top 50% (in total points)
and the top 4 builders from the QUARTER FINAL round qualify for
the SEMIFINALS. Four builders from the SEMIFINAL round move onto
the FINALS. This will include any cars from the top 3 builders that
are faster than the 4th place car.
FINALS ROUND
The ICE & FIRE Series Champion (race not points) and the top 4 builders
from the SEMIFINAL round qualify for the FINALS. The FINALS will
consist of 5 or 6 builders because it is possible than one builder wins
both the ICE & FIRE Series and takes up 2 spots in the FINALS.
MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN WORLD FINALS OVERALL
CHAMPION SCORING
The Top 6 builders in each class will score points
(1st-10, 2nd-7, 3rd-5, 4th-4, 5th-3 & 6th-2)
in the 6 MOTM scoring classes (BASX Pro, Street Stock,
Street Pro, Eliminator, Unlimited & Fat Wheels Unlimited)
and the builder with the highest overall point total will be crowned the:
